A little about our company:

Cartmel Sales & Marketing Ltd. was founded in 1966 by John Edward Cartmel.  The company – then named J. E. Cartmel Sales – focused on sales for the automotive and hardware markets.  John Cartmel was driven to help both his clients and their customers become successful and worked hard to ensure good and honest business relationships were developed and nurtured for years.  John grew and nurtured his company for over 25 years, at which point he made the difficult decision to retire and pass along his company into the next set of capable hands.   Since then, our company has maintained its mission – to help establish and build client and customer relationships while increasing sales.

We want to welcome Wayne Jangula to the team!  Wayne has been in the industry for just over 30 years and brings with him a thorough knowledge of sales and marketing along with an extensive number of relationships in both the automotive and heavy duty industries.  We are thrilled to have him on our team.   Check out a little more about Wayne here.  (make “here” a hyperlink to the “About Us” page).

Our Fearless Leader:

Wayne is our primary contact and operations manager supporting all accounts in British Columba and some accounts in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Wayne began his career over 30 years ago as a warehouse employee working at a local automotive warehouse distributor in Burnaby, BC.  He quickly worked his way into an inside sales associate role and not soon after, was promoted to outside sales associate.  From there he moved into a Territory Manager position with an international manufacturing company, growing and building relationships along the way.

After several years as a BC Territory manager, he was offered the position of Manager of Sales for Western Canada, covering BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.  This opportunity gave Wayne the ability to expand his existing customer base, build stronger business relationships, and grow his management and sales skills.  Wayne’s last position was in the capacity of Canadian National Sales Manager with a well-known North American company.  Wayne embraced this opportunity with Cartmel Sales and jumped on board.  During his time here, he obtained exposure to new customers across Canada, corporate negotiation skills, creating and implementing national sales programs and of course the daily requirements in leading his team of sales associates and marketing reps.

Wayne currently lives in Surrey, BC, with his wife, and their two teenage daughters who are active and involved in race sailing, soccer and competitive cheerleading.  They love boating together as a family, and waterskiing, wake boarding and wake surfing.  They enjoy cycling and hiking and any other outdoor activities that might arise.  They love travelling as a family and especially love tropical places with beaches.

With the help of many other leaders in the industry, Wayne has been able to take what people have shown him and make lasting customer relationships and valuable and successful business agreements.  He works hard for what he believes in – be honest, be driven and work hard.
